Pamela Chang Lab

The Chang lab conducts research at the interface of chemical biology, microbiology, and immunology. Our research is focused on understanding chemical communication between the gut microbiome and the host immune system.  Using both chemical and biological approaches, we develop novel chemical tools to understand 1) the metabolism of the gut microbiome and 2) important pathways within the host immune system by controlling the activities of specific immune cell types. We seek highly motivated postdoctoral candidates with an outstanding record of independent research in chemical biology or related fields to carry out interdisciplinary research projects at the interface of chemical biology, microbiology, and immunology. Projects may include organic synthesis of novel chemical probes, application of these probes to biological systems, and biological study of host-microbe interactions.
