Ecology and Evolution of Infection and Disease (EEID) Journal Club

Alex Lando will present, “Pathogen-microbiome interactions and the virulence of an entomopathogenic fungus.” Weekly meeting to discuss topical papers about ecology and evolution of infectious diseases, drawn from both new and older literature. The topics could include:

• Pathogen/parasite and/or host evolution, immunity, virulence
• Pathogen/parasite transmission, behavioral manipulation
• Community level interactions impacting pathogens/diseases
• Spatial disease ecology
• Epizootiology/epiphytology, population genetics
• Emerging diseases
• Impact of climate change, extinction/extirpation on pathogens/parasites/diseases
