Microbiome Supergroup

The Microbiome Supergroup is led by Prof. Liz Johnson, and Prof. Ilana Brito, and each meeting typically consists of two 30-minute presentations from volunteers.

Fall 2024, meetings will be held the first or second Thursday of the month in Weill 226 beginning Sept. 12 at 1:00pm.

Members of the Cornell community may use this link to sign up to present this semester. All spots are available. To spark research and collaboration, any trainee that signs up will get to do the analysis of their choice on a NextSeq1000 run.

The organizers would also like to make note of the set of conferences centered around microbiome science this year with two notable ones being the Finger Lakes Microbiome meeting (Oct 4th) and the Cold Spring Harbor Microbiome meeting (Oct 29 – Nov 2).

Additionally, there will be a workshop on an intro to 16S sequencing as a primer to microbiome science for those who may have samples or have been thinking of dipping into the microbiome world and need a little push in the right direction. E-mail Dr. Liz Johnson (elj54@cornell.edu) if you are interested in participating or helping out.
